Get up and running with Unizo Console in minutes. This guide walks you through the essential steps to set up your first integration and start leveraging our unified APIs.

By the end of this guide, you'll have:

  • ✅ Created and configured your Unizo account
  • ✅ Generated your API key for secure access
  • ✅ Set up your first integration services
  • ✅ Configured bi-directional webhooks for real-time notifications
  • ✅ Invited team members to collaborate (optional)

Step 1: Create Your Unizo Account

New to Unizo?

Get started with a free account or choose from our flexible pricing plans.

To create your account:

  1. Visit unizo.ai and click Get Started Free
  2. Complete the Sign Up form with your details and organization information
  3. Submit your request - our support team will contact you within 2-3 business days

Existing Users

Simply navigate to unizo.ai and use the login link to access your account.

Step 2: Generate Your API Key

Your API key is your gateway to Unizo's unified APIs. You can generate it through our guided setup or manually at any time.

Perfect for first-time users who want step-by-step guidance:

  1. Navigate to the Access Key section in your dashboard
  2. Click Generate Access Key
  3. Reveal your key by clicking the show button
  4. Important: Copy and securely store your API key immediately

Security Best Practice: Store your API key in a secure location like a password manager or environment variables. Never commit it to version control.

Option B: Manual Generation

For users who prefer to generate keys independently:

  1. Go to Setup IntegrationsAccess Key
  2. Click Generate Access Key
  3. Reveal and copy your new API key
  4. Store it securely for future use

What's next? You can now invite team members to access the Unizo Portal.

Step 3: Configure Your Services

Enable the integration services you need to connect with your favorite tools and platforms.

Guided Service Setup

After account creation, you'll see our interactive setup wizard:

  1. Select your integration needs - Choose from categories like Source Code, Project Management, Communication, etc.
  2. Enable specific providers - For example, if you select Source Code, you'll see options for GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and more
  3. Follow the prompts - Our wizard will guide you through the configuration process

Manual Service Configuration

Configure services at your own pace:

  1. Navigate to Setup IntegrationsServices
  2. Browse available integration categories
  3. Click to enable the services you need
  4. Complete the configuration for each service

Service Status: Enabled services are clearly marked in your dashboard. You can modify or disable services anytime.

Step 4: Set Up Bi-directional Webhooks

Stay informed about changes in your integrated services with real-time webhook notifications.

Understanding Bi-directional Webhooks

Bi-directional webhooks enable you to:

  • Receive instant notifications when events occur in your integrated services
  • Build custom automation workflows
  • React to changes in real-time across your entire tech stack

When events are triggered, Unizo sends secure HTTP POST requests to your configured endpoints with all the relevant event data.

Guided Webhook Setup

Configure webhooks through our streamlined process:

  1. In the Bi-directional section, click Create Bi-directional
  2. Domain Type: Select the appropriate domain for your webhook
  3. Callback URL: Enter your endpoint URL that will receive notifications
  4. Content Type: Specify the media type (e.g., application/json)
  5. Secret: Create a secure, unique string for request authentication
  6. API Key: Provide your unique identifier for server authentication
  7. Click Submit to activate your webhook configuration

Manual Webhook Configuration

Set up webhooks independently:

  1. Navigate to Setup IntegrationsBi-directional
  2. Click Create Bi-directional
  3. Fill in the required fields:
    • Domain Type: Choose your target domain
    • Callback URL: Your webhook endpoint
    • Content Type: Data format (typically application/json)
    • Secret: Secure authentication string
    • API Key: Your unique server identifier
  4. Click Submit to save your configuration

Testing Webhooks: We recommend testing your webhook endpoints with tools like ngrok for local development before deploying to production.

Step 5: Invite Your Team (Optional)

Collaborate effectively by inviting team members to your Unizo workspace.

Guided Team Invitation

Add team members through our streamlined process:

  1. In the Users section, click Invite Users
  2. Enter the team member's email address
  3. Select their role and permissions
  4. Click Send Invite - they'll receive an email to join your Unizo Portal

Manual Team Management

Manage your team through settings:

  1. Navigate to SettingsUsers
  2. Click Invite Users
  3. Enter the email address of your team member
  4. Assign appropriate roles and permissions
  5. Click Send Invite to complete the process

Role Management: Different roles provide different levels of access to your Unizo workspace. Choose roles that align with your team's responsibilities and security requirements.
