How to integrate my Jira account?
Overview
To authenticate, you need:
- Email Address – The email you use to log in to Jira
- Domain – The base URL of your Jira instance
- Personal Access Token (API Token) – Used to authenticate API requests
Step 1: Get Your Jira Email Address
- Email Address – Use the email associated with your Jira login. You’ll need it for authentication.
Step 2: Get Your Jira Domain
- Login to Jira – Go to Jira (Atlassian) and sign in
- Locate Your Domain – Your Jira domain is the URL you use to access Jira, such as:
Step 3: Generate Your Personal Access Token
- Login to Jira – Sign in with your Atlassian account
- Open Account Settings – Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select Account Settings
- Go to API Tokens – A new window will open. From the sidebar, navigate to Security → API tokens
- Create a Token – Click Create API token
- Set Token Name – Provide a descriptive name (e.g., "Unizo Jira Integration")
- Set Expiration – (Optional) Select an expiration date under Expires on for security
- Click Create – Generate the token
- Copy and Store the Token – Click the Copy button and save the token securely. You won’t be able to view it again.
