How to integrate my Tenable Nessus account?

Overview​

To authenticate, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Access Key
  • Secret Key

Step 1: Login to Tenable Cloud Portal​

  1. Sign in with your Tenable account

Step 2: Generate Access Key and Secret Key​

  1. lick your profile icon at the top-right corner of the dashboard

  2. Select "Your Profile" from the dropdown

  3. Go to the API Keys tab

  4. Click Generate

    Caution: Clicking Generate will replace any existing API keys. Be sure to update any applications or services using the old keys.

  5. A Generate API Keys window will appear with a warning

  6. Review the warning, then click Generate again to confirm

  7. Tenable Vulnerability Management will generate and display your:

    • Access Key
    • Secret Key
      under the Custom API Keys section

    Important:

    • Copy both keys immediately and store them in a secure location
    • Once you close this tab, you cannot retrieve them again from the portal

Tip:
If the Generate button is inactive, contact your administrator to ensure they've enabled API access for your account. For more information, see Edit a User Account..
